Joe Anglin, a principal with community-planning firm Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin, is retiring.
Anglin’s career as a landscape architect and planner began in 1968 with Sasaki Associates in Massachusetts. He joined Glatting Jackson in 1982.
Over the course of his career, Anglin’s work won nearly 50 awards. In 2005, he was inducted into the Council of Fellows of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
Anglin’s projects include the Orlando Science Center; the Caliraya Springs resort in the Philippines; American Automobile Association’s worldwide headquarters in Lake Mary; the Village of Puerto Palmas in Argentina; and Oakland Park, Florida’s first certified “green” residential development.
In retirement, Anglin wants to focus on his work as an ambassador with Friendship Force, a nonprofit organization that promotes goodwill across borders. He traveled to Mongolia and the Gobi Desert last year, and plans to visit Chile next year. Anglin will also consult and mentor part-time for Glatting Jackson.
The entire staff at Oakland Park and Castle & Cooke send our congratulations to our good friend and wish you a long and fruitful retirement!
